Salina Rosso IGP

Obtained from Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese grapes cultivated on the island of Salina it is an intense ruby wine, wit a fruity aftertaste, it has hints of morello and wild cherry. The bouquet brinegs the fragrance of the wild flowers in the mediterranean scrub. Perfectly balanced, it can support a few years of aging. Exellent meat and cheese dishes with a distinctive taste.

Harvest

The grapes, harvested during late september, are pressed and fermented in stainless steel, in contact with the skins for 5/6 days. Aging process in stainless steel tanks followed by four months of aging in bottle.

Persistent, fruity, with hints of ripe cherry and spices like vanilla and black pepper, slightly salty

Taste

Warm, harmonious and persistent, good intensity and perfectly balanced. Red saline can withstand some years of agingIntense and basically savory, enveloping, with an aftertaste of sweet tannins, of good persistence
